PARLIAMENTARY EARLY DAY MOTION
TERRITORIAL ARMY (20 May 2002)

Motion Details

That this House congratulates the Territorial Army on holding open days for the public so that people can gain an insight into the valuable work carried out by the Territorial Army; further notes the importance of recruitment into both the TA and the regular army and hopes that the open days held will encourage people to consider entering the armed forces; recognises the essential role the Territorial Army plays in supporting and acting as back-up to the regular army; and supports the practice of open days at Territorial Army centres, such as the one held in Chorley, which attracted much interest.
