PARLIAMENTARY EARLY DAY MOTION
ENERGY REVIEW (No.2) (8 May 2002)

Motion Details

That this House welcomes the commitment of the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry to invite views before the drafting of the White Paper on energy which will be published before the end of the year; notes that the much leaked and delayed Cabinet Office Energy Review was launched on an obscure Government website accompanied by a written answer; regrets that the Government has still made no time available for a full-day debate on the PIU Report on the floor of the House; and urges the Secretary of State to initiate an early debate on her Consultation Paper which she has promised to publish before the end of the month.
