SUEZ VETERANS 1951-1954 (26 June 2002)
Motion Details
That this House welcomes the review of the question of awarding a medal to Suez veterans by the Committee on the Grant of Honours, Decorations and Medals chaired by Sir Richard Wilson confirmed by the honourable Member for Wansdyke in the adjournment debate in Westminster Hall on 21st May; hopes for a positive outcome following the committee's consideration of the case in light of new evidence; and believes that this group of veterans should be able to wear a medal for their service in the Canal Zone on Remembrance Day in the Queen's Jubilee year.
