BNP AND FOOTBALL (20 October 2002)
Motion Details
That this House condemns the cynical ploy by the BNP to promote racism in football by attempting to sponsor the Tipton Boilers football team and to sell their football shirts with the BNP logo through the Internet; notes that the sponsorship of football teams by political parties is contrary to FA rules; believes that the principles and policies of the BNP are contrary to the Kick Racism Out of Football campaign endorsed by the FA; calls for the FA to work with clubs to ensure that necessary action is taken to ban supporters of this BNP campaign; praises the excellent achievements of KROF; and further calls for all football supporters and clubs to continue this excellent work and eradicate racism permanently from our national sport.
