PARLIAMENTARY EARLY DAY MOTION
PRESERVATION OF BRITISH BIRDS (13 December 2000)
Motion Details
That this House notes with alarm the conduct of 23 Conservative Members of the European Parliament for signing a document calling for the European hunting season to be extended; notes that this will allow hunters in France and Italy more time to kill migrating British birds such as song thrushes and turtle doves; and calls on Members of the European Parliament to oppose the proposed extension of the European hunting season.
