PARLIAMENTARY EARLY DAY MOTION
25TH ANNIVERSARY OF VICTIM SUPPORT (14 December 1999)

That this House congratulates Victim Support on its 25th Anniversary; notes that this charity has helped an estimated 11 million people over the past quarter-of-a-century, and that in the past year the figure for those helped by victim support schemes, the Crown Court Witness Service and the Victim Supportline was around 1,280,000; records its appreciation of the work done by the current 14,670 volunteers plus those who have served in the past; and sends best wishes to all involved with victim support schemes around the country in their excellent work in helping the victims of crimes.
