PARLIAMENTARY EARLY DAY MOTION
PRIME MINISTER OF JAPAN (4 April 2000)

Motion Details

That this House congratulates Yoshiromori upon becoming Prime Minister of Japan; believes the new Prime Minister will help develop friendship between Japan and Britain; recalls that he led the Japanese Parliamentary Rugby Team in a game in Tokyo against the Commons and Lords Rugby Club on National Sport Day in 1998, recalls that he scored a try on that occasion; and hopes that he will soon visit Britain, bringing with him the Japanese Parliamentary Rugby Team for a return match.
