PARLIAMENTARY EARLY DAY MOTION
DISABLED ACCESS TO WESTMINSTER TUBE STATION (29 March 2000)
Motion Details
That this House notes that £3.3 billion of taxpayers' money has been spent on the Jubilee Line extension to the London Underground; believes that public transport facilities should be accessible to all members of society; deplores the fact that, since its re-opening, the District, Circle and Jubilee line platforms at Westminster Underground Station have not been accessible to those disabled people travelling by public transport who wish to meet honourable Members and Ministers; and calls on the Government to ensure that the lifts at Westminster Underground Station are brought into service as a matter of urgency.
