PARLIAMENTARY EARLY DAY MOTION
HOME-START UK (29 February 2000)
Motion Details
That this House notes the excellent work carried out by Home-Start in promoting the welfare of families with at least one child under the age of five, offering friendship and practical help to families under stress in their own homes, and helping to prevent family crisis and breakdown; pays tribute to the dedicated volunteers who assist families and ensure the organisation is run effectively; believes that Home-Start has made excellent use of Government funds in assisting families in local communities through various schemes; and calls on the Government to continue supporting Home-Start organisations across the country, both financially and in terms of promoting the work carried out by Home-Start UK.
