FREE TV LICENCES FOR SENIOR CITZENS (17 February 2000)

Motion Details

That this House recognises that the reduction of VAT on fuel, winter allowances for all pensioner households, the new minimum income guarantee and free eye tests from the age of 60 years have benefited senior citizens; welcomes the decision by the Government to provide free television licences from the age of 75 years; and calls on the Government to consider extending provision of free television licences to all senior citizens from the age of 65 years.
