PARLIAMENTARY EARLY DAY MOTION
ICELAND FOODS (13 June 2000)

That that House congratulates Iceland Foods and the National Trust on their joint venture to develop the National Trust's Whole Farm Planning programme and in supporting the charity's tenant farmers in developing environmentally-friendly farming practices including conversion to organic farming; welcomes Iceland's ú8 million pledge to supply organic food to consumers at no extra cost; recognises the important contribution this will make to ensuring that organic food is available to all; and congratulates Iceland on its efforts to work with British farmers on long-term organic development.
