PARLIAMENTARY EARLY DAY MOTION
DIFFERENTIAL TUITION FEES (5 June 2000)
Motion Details
That this House recognises that any attempt to introduce top-up fees or to allow universities to charge differential tuition fees would discourage access by students from state schools and students from under-represented groups; and calls upon the Government to extend the provisions of the Teaching and Higher Education Act 1998 to prohibit the introduction of differential tuition fees and to re-affirm its opposition to other forms of top-up fees.
