PARLIAMENTARY EARLY DAY MOTION
Oftel, British Telecom, and Providers of Telephone Message Services (5 December 1989)

Motion Details

That this House deplores the existence of those telephone message services which have caused incalculable misery to many families; notes that extraordinary efforts are currently being made by a triumvirate of the DEOFTEL network providers, including British Telecom and system providers to preserve what they can of these anti-social services; and calls upon the Government, yet again, to excercise parliamentary control of this sordid element of the telecommunications industry.
