PARLIAMENTARY EARLY DAY MOTION
TAX HARMONIZATION (13 January 1999)

Motion Details

That this House condemns plans to scrap Britain's right to veto tax and budget changes in Europe; further deplores German plans to harmonise European taxes, so that Britain loses the rebate won by Baroness Thatcher; and calls on the Prime Minister, the Chancellor of the Exchequer and the Foreign and Commonwealth Secretary to bury their differences and start fighting for Britain instead.
