CONTROL AND RESTRAINT TECHNIQUES IN MENTAL HEALTH HOSPITALS (10 March 1999)

Motion Details

That this House welcomes the Home Secretary's extension of the Race Relations Act to cover all public services; believes that the question as to whether racism is prevalent in the mental health service needs examining, especially in relation to deaths following the use of control and restraint techniques; and calls on the Government to establish an inquiry into this.
