PARLIAMENTARY EARLY DAY MOTION
BACK CARE FOR CHILDREN (10 March 1999)
Motion Details
That this House believes that investment in the health and education of children makes an important contribution to the future wellbeing of the country; welcomes Government policy contained in Our Healthier Nation and in particular the Healthy Schools Initiative; recognises the contribution of the National Back Pain Association in highlighting the issues of better back care for children; and urges the Government to encourage further research and the dissemination of examples of good practice in ways of educating children to use their backs more sensibly, thereby reducing the incidence of back pain.
