PARLIAMENTARY EARLY DAY MOTION
ACCESS TO ENVIRONMENTAL INFORMATION BILL (8 February 1999)
Motion Details
That this House believes that people have a right to know about dangerous pollutants emitted from sources in their area; notes that the Minister for the Environment stated in September 1998 that 'I want a toxic releases inventory of all noxious discharges to land, air or water in their neighbourhood to be readily available for public inspection by local people'; and therefore supports the Access to Environmental Information Bill introduced by a cross party group of honourable Members on 8th February.
