PARLIAMENTARY EARLY DAY MOTION
HOUSING CO-OPERATIVES (20 January 1999)

That this House recognises the positive contribution housing co-operatives have made to British housing, and the benfits derived from co-operative housing; is pleased to note that the Housing Corporation, in responding to an initiative taken by the UK Co-operative Council, has established an advisory group to assist the Corporation's review of co-operative housing and associated tenures; looks forward to the early publication of the consultation paper on the proposed strategy for housing co-operatives; and welcomes the opportunity this will give the honourable Members and the co-operative housing movement to comment upon it.
