PARLIAMENTARY EARLY DAY MOTION
PUBLIC PRIVATE PARTNERSHIP FOR LONDON UNDERGROUND (12 April 1999)

Motion Details

That this House understands the desperate need for investment in London's Underground; notes that the Government's planned Public Private Partnership is up to two years behind schedule; further notes the increasing numbers of academics and experts who are arguing for a public interest company or trust to provide secure funding for the Underground; and urges the Government to investigate this option fully, seriously and urgently as an alternative to the PPP.
