PARLIAMENTARY EARLY DAY MOTION
ANIMAL EXPERIMENTATION (28 March 1999)
Motion Details
That this House recognises the continued public unease surrounding the use of animal experiments; notes the recent half million signature petition presented to the Prime Minister's Office by Naturewatch supporters; deplores the excessive secrecy which still permeates the animal experiment industry; and urges Her Majesty's Government to set up a Royal Commission inquiry to review the effectiveness and justification of animal experiments.
