PARLIAMENTARY EARLY DAY MOTION
HUNTING WITH DOGS (No. 2) (18 October 1999)
Motion Details
That this House congratulates the Prime Minister and wholeheartedly welcomes his statement that hunting will be banned as soon as possible; recognises that the Government has listened to the 411 honourable Members and the overwhelming majority of the public who wish to see hunting banned before the millennium; recognises that hunting is cruel and barbaric and has no place in a modern Britain; pledges to support future Government legislation that will provide an outright national ban on deer, mink, hare and fox hunting; and calls for proposed legislation to be included in the forthcoming Queen's Speech.
