PARLIAMENTARY EARLY DAY MOTION
MULTIPLE SCLEROSIS (18 October 1999)
Motion Details
That this House welcomes the Government's decision to ask the National Institute for Clinical Excellence to draw up guidance on the prescribing of beta interferon; recognises that this is the first treatment which has been shown to slow the progress of the most severe form of multiple sclerosis; and believes that the new guidance should allow neurologists to prescribe this drug to patients who could benefit from it.
