PARLIAMENTARY EARLY DAY MOTION
Independence for Hong Kong (12 February 1990)

Motion Details

That this House believes that the people of Hong Kong should now be entitled to directly elect their own representative Government which would be empowered to negotiate the terms of their re-incorporation into China in 1997; and requests an end to British involvement in Hong Kong and the replacement of the largely unelected colonial administration now in place.
