JEWISH COMMUNITY IN IRAN (10 June 1999)
Motion Details
That this House condemns the arrest of 13 members of the Jewish community in Iran and the false allegations made against them as an abuse of human rights; fears for the safety of the teachers, religious leaders and Chief Rabbi of Shiraz who are part of the thirteen; and calls upon Her Majesty's Government to give this issue immediate attention by making strong representations to the Iranian Government to ensure the early release of these community leaders.
