PARLIAMENTARY EARLY DAY MOTION
CONCESSIONARY TELEVISION LICENCES (25 May 1999)

Motion Details

That this House notes with concern reports suggesting that Her Majesty's Government is considering abolishing the concessionary television licence scheme; believes that the existing scheme should be extended, not reduced; calls on the Government to consult pensioners' groups about reform of the system; and believes that as a first step the Government should introduce free television licences for all those aged 75 and over.
