PARLIAMENTARY EARLY DAY MOTION
Right Honourable Member for Blaby and Guinness Peat Aviation (7 February 1990)
Motion Details
That this House is further appalled by the report that the Right honourable Member for Blaby will receive ú40,000 to ú50,000 a year from GPA to moonlight as a consultant and non-executive director, to add to the ú200,000 a year he is set to receive from Barclays Bank, taking his non-parliamentary earnings to over ú5,000 for each week worked; considers any further support the Right honourable Member may consider giving to government attacks on those receiving income support, who try to supplement their income to feed their families, as scroungers, would be pathetic; and wonders if he will have any time left to pop into the Commons to pick up his parliamentary pocket money.
