PRESCRIPTIONS FOR CYSTIC FIBROSIS (4 June 1997)
Motion Details
That this House notes with regret that free NHS prescriptions for medication to treat chronic illness are available only for those requiring treatment for specific medical conditions set out in the National Health Service (Remission of Charges Regulations) 1988 No. 551, which excludes cystic fibrosis, leading to significant hardship to many; and therefore calls on the Government to extend the list of chronic medical conditions covered by the Regulations to include cystic fibrosis.
