PARLIAMENTARY EARLY DAY MOTION
Murder of Gerardo Cruz (7 February 1990)

Motion Details

That this House receives with great shock the news of the murder of Gerardo Cruz, a leading member of the Salvadorean Teachers' Union, who was captured by the Treasury Police, tortured so badly that he was released to Rosales Hospital in San Salvador, where he died as a result of his injuries; calls on the Government to condemn this murder and insist that the authorities bring the culprits to justice; and further supports the moves in the United States Congress to curtail United States sponsorship of the Arena Government and its military allies.
