ELECTION TITLES (No. 2) (5 November 1997)
Motion Details
That this House notes the problem of individuals standing for election under misleading titles, such as titles in similar terms to established national party names; welcomes the Government's indication that they will introduce legislation in this area; and calls on all candidates standing in elections until those measures have been introduced to pay special care not to stand under a confusing title, whether deliberate or unintentional.
