PARLIAMENTARY EARLY DAY MOTION
DIANA, PRINCESS OF WALES MEMORIAL FUND AND PARENTING PROJECTS (4 November 1997)
Motion Details
That this House believes that one of the monumental challenges facing today's society is to break the cycle of poor and unsupported parenting which passes from generation to generation in some families and is eating away at the socialand economic fabric of the nation; and believes that funding projects which contribute to a national crusade for good parenting would be a most suitable use of a significant proportion of the proceeds from the Diana, Princess of Wales Memorial Fund as this would be both an appropriate legacy to Princess Diana's memory, as her greatest passion was children generally and her own children in particular, and would receive the overwhelming support of the British people.
