PARLIAMENTARY EARLY DAY MOTION
INVOLVEMENT OF EXTREMISTS IN THE PRO-HUNTING LOBBY (3 November 1997)
Motion Details
That this House condemns the involvement of racist and fascist extremists in the pro-hunting lobby which is organising opposition to the forthcoming Private Members Bill from the honourable Member for Worcester which would ban the cruel and barbaric sport of hunting live animals with dogs; is appalled at statements from the National Front attacking reputable organisations such as the Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals and others for their opposition to hunting; and congratulates the West Mercia police for making contingency arrangements for dealing with the presence of right wing extremists at the recent Hyde Park rally organised by the Countryside Movement.
