PARLIAMENTARY EARLY DAY MOTION
ABORTION LAW REFORM (27 October 1997)
Motion Details
That this House believes that the Abortion Act 1967 should be reformed to allow abortion on request in early pregnancy, to require NHS purchasing authorities to meet their local need for abortion and to extend to Northern Ireland the law as it applies to Britain, thus ending the discrimination against women in Northern Ireland who are denied legal abortion in their own locality.
