Motion Details
That this House deplores the acceptance by the Right honourable Member for Blaby of a salary of ú200,000 for two days a week work with Barclays Bank; notes that the Leader of the Conservative group on Birmingham City Council, Councillor Reg Hales, has closed his account with Barclays Bank; agrees with Councillor Hales that a salary of ú200, 000 for two days a week is almost obscene; but notes that this public protest from someone who has given unremitting support to all the economic policies of the former Chancellor is nothing more than gesture politics.
