Motion Details

That this House welcomes the bold initiatives announced by President de Klerk and congratulates him on his acts of courage and statesmanship; believes that the positive policy of co-operation and encouragement pursued by Her Majesty's Government and the Prime Minister were the major factor in promoting change; and trusts that moves towards peaceful reform will be encouraged and supported by those within South Africa and beyond.
