PARLIAMENTARY EARLY DAY MOTION
UNPASTEURISED MILK (28 November 1997)

Motion Details

That this House is concerned at Government proposals to ban unpasteurised milk; notes the stringent standards to which unpasteurised milk is produced; recognises that containers of all such milk are clearly and explicitly labelled to ensure the public is fully aware of what it is buying; acknowledges that the public has a right to choose the kind of milk it drinks; and urges the Government to review its proposals in respect of unpasteurised milk and report fully on any evidence of unpasteurised milk as a threat to public health.
