DEATHS OF CHILDREN THROUGH MEDICAL ERROR (24 February 1998)
Motion Details
That this House supports Action for Victims of Medical Accidents in its campaign for independent public inquiries into the death of children through medical error or negligence; records its concern that doctors are not currently legally required to disclose all the circumstances and facts surrounding a patient's death to bereaved relatives; and calls on the Government to take all necessary action to increase the accountability of the medical profession to the patient and the public.
