PARLIAMENTARY EARLY DAY MOTION
UNPASTEURISED MILK (No. 2) (3 February 1998)

Motion Details

That this House welcomes the decision by the Government to extend the consultation period on its proposals to ban unpateurised milk, in order to allow consumers to make a choice based on clear and explicitly-labelled products; recognises that many small producers of unpasteurised milk rely on the ability to sell their product direct to the consumer and to cheese processors whose livelihoods would also be a risk; and calls upon the Government to reconsider this whole issue.
