BACK RYHOPE STREET ALLOTMENTS (28 January 1998)
Motion Details
That this House congratulates the ongoing campaign of the 22 Ryhope allotment holders and pigeon fanciers to protect their way of life and pays tribute to their loyalty, commitment and strength in standing together to fight for working people's culture and heritage; further notes the announcement by the developer who currently owns the site that he is negotiating with an interested party who wishes to purchase the allotments and lease them, rent free, back to the holders; and looks forward to a satisfactory conclusion in the near future.
