PARLIAMENTARY EARLY DAY MOTION
ROYAL COMMISSION ON ANIMAL EXPERIMENTS (30 March 1998)
Motion Details
That this House recognises continuing public unease surrounding the use of animal experiments; notes the recent half million signature petition presented on 31 March to the Prime Minister's Office by Naturewatch supporters; deplores the excessive secrecy which still permeates the animal experiment industry; and urges Her Majesty's Government to set up a Royal Commission to review the effectiveness and justification of animal experiments.
