PARLIAMENTARY EARLY DAY MOTION
POLISH AID ALLERDALE (24 March 1998)
Motion Details
That this House warmly congratulates Polish Aid Allerdale on their highly acclaimed work for the Polish people; notes their remarkable achievements in providing help in the form of much-needed medical equipment to communities throughout Poland; believes their aid to have been of immense benefit to the Polish people; notes the resilience of those who, in the face of great difficulty, have on numerous occasions driven vehicles from West Cumbria to locations in different parts of Poland; notes that in 1997, Polish Aid Allerdale supplied ú31,469 worth of medical equipment and wheelchairs to hospitals, clinics, drug rehabilitation centres, Red Cross centres and homes for the mentally handicapped in Konin, Pruskow, Przemysl, Gorzow and Sterdyn; congratulates Chairman Kathlyn Wilson and Transport Manager, Mr Ryszard Jakubowski and all those involved in the organisation on their excellent work; believes that West Cumbria can feel justly proud of their activities; and wishes the organisation every success in their future fund-raising activities.
