PARLIAMENTARY EARLY DAY MOTION
FUNDING FOR THE NHS (24 March 1998)

Motion Details

That this House notes the editorial analyses in The Observer newspaper of 22nd March and The Guardian of 23rd March on the continued, chronic under-funding of the NHS; welcomes the growing consensus on the need to increase investment in the NHS; and calls on the Government to respond urgently by making additional resources available for initiatives to reduce waiting times as well as waiting lists and to improve public health.
