PARLIAMENTARY EARLY DAY MOTION
LONDON TRAVELCARD (13 March 1998)

Motion Details

That this House notes that an integrated public transport system has been a vital component in the success of the capital city in all aspects, including commerce and tourism, that the interchangeability of public transport is a key factor in this success, and that this is made possible by the successful London travelcard scheme; recalls that the previous government made a commitment to keep the travelcard; and calls on this Government to protect the London travelcard for Londoners in its forthcoming announcement about the future of London Underground.
