BULLFIGHTS DURING WORLD CUP 98 (8 June 1998)
Motion Details
That this House urges British football fans travelling to France for the World Cup to boycott bullfights that have been organised to coincide with the tournament in towns in the South of France, such as Nimes and Bordeaux; notes that up to 80 bulls are due to be slaughtered in bullfights during this tournament; and calls upon the Government to condemn this cruel sport and encourage fans not to attend these events.
