PARLIAMENTARY EARLY DAY MOTION
NUCLEAR TESTS IN INDIA (10 May 1998)

Motion Details

That this House deplores the decision of the Indian Government to explode underground three nuclear devices; believes this action will destabilise the entire region and could trigger a nuclear arms race on the sub-continent; and calls on Her Majesty's Government to redouble its efforts to persuade the government of India to sign the Nuclear Test Ban Treaty.
