SPEED LIMITS (15 July 1998)
Motion Details
That this House congratulates the Slower Speeds Initiative on its work in highlighting the need for lower speed limits on safety and environmental grounds; and urges the Government to conduct a national review of speed limits on all classes of road, with a view to introducing lower speed limits and better enforcement of those limits, and encouraging a more responsible attitude amongst drivers towards speed.
