DEATH OF MARINE FERRANTE (5 March 1996)
Motion Details
That this House congratulates Mr Russell Ferrante of Bristol for succeeding in his seven year battle with the Ministry of Defence in establishing that the Ministry was negligent in treating Mr Ferrante's son Simeon after a parachuting injury which led to his death; deplores the shabby treatment shown by the Ministry to Mr Ferrante; acknowledges that the Ministry has admitted liability; and urges the Secretary of State for Defence to ensure that the matter of compensation is resolved without delay.
