PARLIAMENTARY EARLY DAY MOTION
Conduct of the Hon. Member for Cunninghame North (27 February 1990)
Motion Details
That this House notes that the honourable Member for Cunninghame North makes a regular practice of attacking the policy and the integrity of the Government and that he frequently couples this with personal attacks on individual Right honourable and honourable Conservative Members; and further notes that he is unable to face up to the detailed examination of Scottish Labour Party policy concerning the roof tax, the rating of agricultural land and farm buildings, the nationalisation of Scottish estates and the compulsory purchase of holiday homes in rural areas or when his highly lucrative part-time jobs as a columnist with the Glasgow Herald and the Scotland on Sunday newspapers and his involvement with the BBC is questioned, which probably explains his disruptive behaviour during recent television and radio recordings which resulted in the recordings having to be retaken.
