PARLIAMENTARY EARLY DAY MOTION
ILO COMMITTEE RECOMMENDATION (17 April 1996)
Motion Details
That this House supports the demand by the International Labour Organisation Committee of Experts on Freedom of Association that Britain should ensure the effective protection of workers from any action taken by the employer which would result in penalising workers for attempting to regulate their terms and conditions of employment through collective bargaining; and therefore calls on the Government to amend the law accordingly and for Associated Newspapers and Associated British Ports to abandon discrimination against collective bargaining.
