PARLIAMENTARY EARLY DAY MOTION
FOUNDATION FOR SPORT AND THE ARTS (25 January 1995)

Motion Details

That this House warmly welcomes and supports the continued good works of the Foundation for Sport and the Arts; congratulates Littlewoods, Vernons and Zetters pools on their funding of the Foundation and the Treasury for facilitating its creation; notes that the Foundation provides grants to a wide range of organisations at grass roots and national level, many of which are outside the scope of other funding and congratulates the Secretary and Trustees of the Foundation for doing so on a speedy, efficient and cost effective basis; recognises the capacity of the Foundation to complement other arrangements; and urges all concerned to provide the conditions to ensure the continuation of the Foundation at least at its current levels of operation.
