GCHQ - FOREIGN PROTEST LETTERS (11 January 1995)
Motion Details
That this House notes that Her Majesty's Government has now received protest letters, either directly or via British embassies or high commissions throughout the world including from the FGFC of Luxembourg, Komba Gewerkshaft of Germany, European Union of Local Authority Staff, AFL-CIO and RWDSU of the USA, IRO-South America, CNPL-Brazil, Canadian Labour Congress, TUC Holland, Federation of Salaried Employees, and Novon of Holland, Telenisk Landsforbund of Norway and Denmark, KAD and Finasforbundet of Denmark, Sitese of Norway, FNA of France, STAL and STSN of Portugal, the FNPCP, CNE and LBC-NVK of Belgium, UCE of Finland, BEU Sarawak, UCIW of Trinidad, NUDA of South Africa, ESU of Malaya, Nufians of Swaziland, NUPW of Swaziland, NUPW of Barbados, FTU of Pakistan, Union of Australia, the All India Insurance Employees Federation, CSSU of Ireland and the Lord Mayor of Dublin the Right Honourable Tomas Macgiolla, all objecting to its ban on trades union recognition, membership and negotiating rights for people employed at the Government establishment of GCHQ; and calls upon Her Majesty's Government to end its discrimination immediately and to reinstate all those sacked workers who refused to take the Government's shilling and sell out their union rights.
